OREGON CRAFT BEER MONTH SET FOR JULY 2010

Other cities and states may have beer weeks, but Oregon's beer culture is simply too zealous to fit into just seven days - it needs an entire month. Oregon Craft Beer Month (OCBM) is now in its fifth year, celebrating Oregon’s groundbreaking breweries, beer lovers and general beer culture throughout the month of July.

More than 150 beer-related events will take place across the state during July, offering locals and tourists an amazing range of flavor-packed fun. Starting with the official kick-off party and toast to open Oregon Craft Beer Month at McMenamin’s Hillsdale on July 1st and culminating with the Oregon Brewers Festival from July 22nd through July 25th, Oregon Craft Beer Month is the quintessential craft beer experience and a must-visit for beer enthusiasts.

America’s beer revival began in Oregon in the early 1980s, and the state, the second largest producer of craft beer in America, is home to 76 brewing facilities operating more than 104 brewing facilities.

When: Thursday, July 1 through Saturday, July 31, 2010

Where: Breweries, brewpubs, bars, stores and restaurants across the state of Oregon.
